747 Jetliner (California)

Postby 50Cal20 on Fri Oct 23, 2015 10:04 pm

Have you ever noticed that when large airliners are pushed back from their gate that they are escorted on each side by attendants walking with the plane? Their job is to make sure that there are no obstacles in the way that may strike the aircraft. One day an attendant while walking alongside a plane paused to motion the driver of a luggage cart to move back a bit but unknown to him the pilot had just turned the front wheel of the aircraft causing the plane to pivot wide. The front wheel ran right over the attendant who never saw it coming since he was looking the other way at the luggage cart. After a prolonged period of hospitalization and recovery the attendant was deposed as part of his workers' compensation claim. When asked to described the accident the worker testified how his attention had been diverted resulting in being run over by a 747 jet that had pivoted. An employer representative who was sitting in on the deposition jumped to his feet and angrily confronted the stunned worker. He screamed at him yelling "You Liar! You Fraud! It wasn't a 747. It was an A310 Airbus!"

I swear this is a true story.

LOL. Yes, I am sure the type of airplane made a difference once the person was run over. Unless it was a paper airplane, yeah no.
