RFA (California)

If a secondary treating physician who has been approved to treat the patient needs to recommend treatment beyond the initial approval, does he or the PTP have to submit the next RFA? We have instances when we have had to send a RFA to the PTP who then submits a RFA for more treatment requests and we have instances where the IC wants the RFA directly from the secondary treater and they do not want it funneled through the PTP.

The treater recommending the treatment is to prepare the RFA. The PTP can request it, but it should be attached to an RFA from the actual treater recommending the treatment with the other supporting documentation.
