RTW House Bill 2429 (Texas)

WCC News today (3/10/09):

Texas lawmakers and regulators are looking at ways to improve return-to-work outcomes for injured workers – including increased incentives to employers and generating studies on how return-to-work outcomes may have changed since 2005 legislative reforms.

Rep. Joseph Deshotel, D-Beaumont, chairman of the House Business and Industry Committee, told WorkCompCentral Monday that House Bill 2429 was brought to them “by the agency” to overhaul the pilot program established in the Division of Workers’ Compensation under HB 7, the 2005 workers’ compensation reform measure, to provide reimbursement to small employers who make workplace modifications to accommodate an injured employee returning to his or her job.

In addition here in California you may get a gym membership for the injured by having the insurance pay his/her sucription in to the gym and allow the injured to use our physical therapy and personal training services in our facilities.
