Order do dismiss lien for non appearance (California)

The filing and enforcement of liens (different states refer to these with different terms) to secure payment for services or goods against a workers' compensation award is complex and filled with special rules - this category is for questions and discussion of this special area of work comp law.

Hello, unless we show good cause our lien will be dismissed. The person we have designated to attend the hearing that day had a personal tragedy and couldn't make the hearing. We are not sure how to file a request for the hearing not to be dismissed (it was activated). Please help. thank you.

If the lien was activated but there was non-appearance the result should be an NOI to Dismiss unless good cause is shown rather than a Order Dismissing. That is when you objection to the NOI within 10 days and explain the circumstance

It is simply and Objection to Notice of Intention to Dismiss. You can do it in the legal pleading format like a Recon or in a narrative letter objection showing your good cause
