The QME is also a medical provider for the Insurance Company

I just discover that the QME designated to evaluate the injury
is listed in the insurance network as a medical provider.
Is this common practice ? can it be construed as a conflict of interest?
My case is set for trial Will disputing it cause a mistrial?

It happens. No conflict of interest because the QME is probably on a dozen other MPNs as well. MPN just means the doctors are paid and agree to take less money. The QME gets no extra benefits for being on the carriers MPN and in fact gets less. So conflict of interest would be extremely difficult to prove.

There is no such thing as a mistrial in WC. It goes to the weight of the evidence.
