SOL on lien? (California)

Postby spreare on Mon Oct 21, 2019 11:06 am

I would like to file a lien. last time IW was in my office for tx was in Jun 2018. She did not tell me at that time though, I do not know why she did not mention, that her case closed in April (19 -months ago) Can I still file the lien? Not trying to recover a DOS last the C&C however. But the Sol law reads 18 months from last DOS. Is the June DOS valid for lien purposes. I could argue also I received no notice of C&C.

No, it is 18 months from the last date of service prior to the Compromise and Release. You no longer have standing to file a lien.
