Proposed evaluators (California)

I have an injured worker with multiple orthopaedic and neurological problems, i.e. cervical fusion, carpal tunnel, etc.

Defense has proposed Thomas Hedge of Northridge. I have never heard of this evaluator.

Insight from professionals is appreciated. Quality of reports? leanings/tendencies?

Thank you much

I can't help you - never heard of the gentleman. There must be someone reviewing these forums who has an opinion though. Anyone?

But seriously, I haven't heard of him. I would trust anyone from "Kerlan-Jobe" whom has multiple locations and one in the L.A. area. Have you tried "googling" him?

Tom Hedge is a physiatrist who has a disability himself. I have only encountered him as an evaluator in Third Party cases and have no idea how savvy he is writing in the context of Workers' Comp. I have seen him on both sides, defense and plaintiff, and don't have a sense that he's particularly biased one way or the other but note that this perspective is based on only a handful of reports mostly in serious brain injury cases. I debated responding here because I don't really know Dr. Hedge but figured any input was probably better than nothing.
