Petition for reconsideration (California) (California)

Petition for reconsideration was granted based on the applicant not being afforded with an interpreter. The case is remanded for another trial. Question- no further evidence can be introduced? Can defense proceed with additional testimony not provided at the first trial?

It is all at the discretion of the Trial Judge, who always has the power to expand any pertinent records they see fit.
