WCAB on "Catastrophic" (California)

While I was on the task force that wrote the CSIMS recommendations for determining if an injury was castastrophic I did not expect this ruling. I don't do straight psych so doesn't impact me directly. I do suspect this will result in an increase of filed psychiatric claims.

It probably will for failed backs but not for lesser injuries.

There is a thread below from two months ago on this case.

Not much point in reconing an en banc decision unless the plan is to build it up for a COA appeal. I would like to see a COA take on the issue.
